College Expedition USA Overview
COVID-19 NOTICE
Due to the changing nature of campus environments due to COVID-19, these university tours are tentative. The CE USA team will communicate any changes.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVE
College Expedition USA aims to broaden the means to educate high school students and their parents on informed decision making for higher education by assessing the quality and suitability of academic and personal opportunities.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
Mentors will be responsible for approximately 5 students throughout the trip and will guide them through college visits, content sessions, and other activities throughout the weekend. Mentors will facilitate daily sessions with their students on high school planning and college prep. Mentors are expected to be available to assist their students well beyond the expedition, through the point at which the student has applied and selected a college/university.
MENTOR ELIGIBILITY
You must currently have completed at least 2 years of undergrad to apply as a mentor (i.e., as of Fall 2026, you should be a junior in college). This excludes dual-enrollment programs in high school as well as classification by credit hours.

APPLICATION DEADLINE EXTENSION POLICY
We cannot accommodate any deadline extensions. This is because the next steps in the process, such as the time required for application grading and quality assurance, are integral to our process and cannot be changed.
DECISIONS
After initial grading of this application, mentor applicants will be notified if they have moved onto the next round which is interviews. Interviews will be offered mid-late August. Final decisions will be shared starting early September.
COST
The cost of College Expedition USA for a mentor is $200. Travel is NOT included. The application is need-blind which means applicants are chosen based on their merits, irrespective of their financial status.
FINANCIAL AID
Financial aid is available in the form of subsidy. Details on our subsidy options are provided in a later section of this application.

- Applications submitted after August 9, 2026 11:59pm PT will NOT be accepted.
- Your application will only be considered for the expeditions you select below.
